Whistleblowing Policy

Canossa Mission Singapore (“CMS”) is committed to upholding high standards of integrity, accountability and ethical conduct in all our activities.

We encourage employees, volunteers, business partners, vendors, beneficiaries and members of the public to speak up if they become aware of any actual or suspected wrongdoing involving CMS. All reports made in good faith will be treated seriously and handled with appropriate confidentiality.

What to Report

Examples of reportable concerns include:

  • Abuse of authority
  • Breaches of laws, regulations or contractual obligations or CMS polices
  • Bribery, corruption or conflicts of interest
  • Concealment of misconduct or prohibited activities
  • Falsification of records, reports or statements
  • Fraud, theft or misappropriation of funds
  • Misuse of CMS assets, resources or confidential information
  • Unauthorised disclosure of confidential information
  • Unethical, improper or dishonest conduct affecting CMS operations or reputation

How to Make a Report

Reports should be submitted in writing and include relevant details of the concern such as:

  • description of the concern or incident
  • Relevant dates, locations and individuals involved
  • Supporting evidence or documentation, where available
  • Reasons for concern

Confidentiality and Protection

CMS is committed to protecting whistleblowers who report concerns in good faith. The identity of whistleblowers will be kept confidential to the extent permitted by law, and no retaliation or victimisation will be tolerated. Reports will be reviewed and investigated fairly and independently.
